On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from approximately 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. (UTC), some users experienced issues with downloading Phishing and Training Activity Reports from the Download Center in the KSAT console.
This incident was caused by a large update that affected four report types. A code error in the update affected a base file used by the report types, preventing reports from generating. To resolve this issue, we fixed and redeployed the code, then manually reran the delayed reports.
Once the issue was resolved, the console returned to regular performance by 9:00 p.m. (UTC). There was a three-hour delay in customers receiving their CSV reports during this incident.
To prevent this type of issue in the future, we have made several improvements to our processes. We reduced the size of deployments to improve code review quality and to reduce integration risks. We enhanced the testing checklists and automated testing processes for reports. We also implemented more rigorous testing procedures for changes affecting shared system components.
No data loss occurred as a result of this issue.
