KSAT - Custom Content Verification Issues
Incident Report for KnowBe4
Postmortem

From Friday, November 8, 2024, at 5:50 p.m. to Monday, November 11, 2024, at 2:08 p.m. (UTC), newly uploaded custom content failed to complete the automatic verification process. This issue impacted newly uploaded SCORM and MP4 video files in the US, EU, and CA instances of the KSAT console.

This incident was caused when we deployed an infrastructure update without a necessary configuration parameter. On Monday, November 11, 2024, at 2:08 p.m. (UTC), we resolved the issue by adding the missing parameter.

To prevent this type of issue in the future, we are adding additional logging, test cases, and documentation to our customer content management service. We are also implementing additional testing procedures to identify and manage issues in our test and production environments.

If you attempted to upload custom content during this incident timeframe but the content failed to complete the automatic verification process, you will need to remove and re-submit the affected content.
