KMSAT - Issues Loading Groups

On Monday, 11/28/2022, from approximately 10:44 a.m. (ET) until Wednesday, 11/30/2022, at 3:00 p.m. (ET), some admins experienced issues loading user lists in their KMSAT consoles.

This incident was caused by a backend update that added new fields to a query that retrieves users. Some admins did not have view permissions for these new fields, which prevented user lists from loading on the Users and Groups subtabs. Once permissions were fixed for the new fields, KMSAT was able to return to normal performance by Wednesday, 11/30/2022, at 3:00 p.m. (ET).

To prevent this type of issue in the future, we are adding additional testing to our workflow to ensure all permission levels are tested.

No data loss occurred as a result of this issue.

We’ve implemented a fix for the issues some users were experiencing with groups and we’re monitoring the results to make sure no further issues occur.
