Training Module Downloads not completing from Modstore and Content Manager

Postmortem

On Monday, March 3, 2025, from approximately 6:15 p.m. to Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 9:30 p.m. (UTC), some customers experienced issues with downloading training modules from the ModStore.

These issues were caused by an update to a third-party component used in the ModStore, which made the component incompatible with certain code. To resolve this issue, the component update was rolled back, and the KSAT console returned to normal performance by March 4, 2025, at 9:30 p.m. (UTC).

To prevent this type of issue in the future, we have updated our code to prevent automatic updates to the third-party component and maintain a reliable component version.

No data loss occurred as a result of this issue.

Monitoring

A fix has been implemented for this issue and we are now seeing training modules download successfully from the Library and Content Manager tabs within the Modstore. We will continue to monitor the status of this fix and provide updates as we have them.
