On Monday, 10/2/2023, some users on the EU and US instances of KMSAT experienced degraded performance in their consoles. These console issues happened from approximately 8:45 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. (UTC) for EU instances and 1:30 p.m. to 1:56 p.m. (UTC) for US instances.
This incident was caused by a large number of requests due to high traffic. We quickly implemented additional resources to handle these requests and paused some nonessential services. Once this issue was resolved, all KMSAT instances returned to normal performance. Then, we resumed the nonessential services gradually until all services could return to normal functionality by 9:00 p.m. (UTC).
To prevent this type of issue in the future, we are implementing additional improvements to handle high traffic more efficiently.
No data loss occurred as a result of this issue.
